Objective:
This course is meant for working professionals who would like to widen their horizons to enter the exciting world of new public relations. Those who are already in PR would be trained to pick up the nuances of corporate communication involving image management, advertising, communication strategies, media marketing, consultancy, event management and training.
Course content: Since strategizing is the basic tool required for public relations, event management and space selling, the program concentrates on developing the requisite skills. The professional is taught negotiations, planning, positioning and brand communication. Market research and analysis, lobbying and issue support, desk top publishing and groupware are the other areas of study. After learning the basics, student is given professional projects for honing their skills.
The MassCoMedia USP: MassCoMedia's connections with industry all over should work to the advantage of the student. Some students will also be given the opportunity to work on live projects (media events, corporate shows, press meets and the like). This experience will help them enhance their portfolios.
