Eligibility:
Students should be graduates in any discipline. They are eligible to apply If they have appeared for the exams. Admission is through a simple test and interview.
Objective:
This is an electronic media specific program aimed at providing expertise in TV production and reporting. Television production techniques apart, the course lays stress on pre-production – ideation, script writing, story boarding to screen play – production and the entire gamut of post-production work – editing, voice overs, choice of music, vision mixing and packaging. The program also teaches graphics, media design and special effects. Studio productions and switch room operations apart, the student is also made to work on advanced editing software like Avid and FCP. Smoke AUTO DESK is the added attraction. Those who do not want to work on on-the-spot reporting assignments, can opt for Direction as a major.
The MassCoMedia USP:
The program offers a judicious mix of studio and outdoor shoots besides classroom teaching. MassCoMedia's advantage is industry standard studios, editing tables and e-classrooms where student to computer ratio is one to one. Since the student is made to work on live market/reporting projects he/she would be streets ahead of peers at other institutions.
Note: Students can transfer credits to Deakin University in the second year and study there for six months for an international degree.
