Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, students of MassComedia Institute won the best documentary film award for ‘Sammaan’. 70 films were screened in this festival from around the world under various categories.
The film ‘Sammaan’ is based on the inverse conditions existing in our country for transgenders. This film highlights how these transgender people are trying to handle the social bias attached to them. Director of the film is Nandita. Other team members were Vishal Bawa – Camera and Editing, Navnitesh – Assistant Director and script writer, Voice over and narration was done by Tapanshu, Rahul Srivastava – Managing operations. All of these students are pursuing the Bachelors in Mass Communication and Journalism.
